Refinishing FAQ
Is refinishing worth it, or should I replace?
If the boards are sound and there's enough wear layer left, refinishing typically costs a fraction of replacement and looks just as good. We'll tell you honestly at the free inspection — including when replacement really is the better call.
How dusty will it be?
Our sanders run with vacuum containment and we seal off the work area. It's not zero, but it's a small fraction of old-style sanding — no film of dust through the whole house.
Can you change the color of my floor?
Yes. After sanding to bare wood, your floor can go lighter, darker, or a completely different tone. We sample stains directly on your floor so you see the true result before we commit.
