Frequently asked questions
How long does refinishing take?
Most single-home refinishing projects take 3–5 days depending on square footage, stain choice, and the finish system. Water-based finishes let you walk on the floor sooner; oil-based needs a little longer to cure.
Will sanding fill my house with dust?
We use dust-containment sanding equipment and seal off work areas. No sanding job is 100% dust-free, but modern containment keeps it to a small fraction of what older methods produced.
Should I refinish or replace my floor?
If the boards are structurally sound and haven't been sanded too many times before, refinishing usually costs significantly less than replacement. We'll tell you honestly during the free inspection — sometimes a repair plus refinish is all you need.
